Tresys Technology has an opportunity for a Business Development Professional to sell into the Critical Infrastructure arena. This individual will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities within the Critical Infrastructure Industry including nuclear, oil & gas, and electrical energy sectors. This position will be based in Denver or Houston. Candidates have the opportunity to work from home. Some travel is required.
Industrial networks for Critical Infrastructure are the systems and networks so vital to the United States that their breakdown or damage would have a debilitating effect on the security and public safety of the United States. Critical infrastructure provides the power we use in our homes and businesses, our transportation systems, the communication systems we use to stay in touch, and the water we drink. As these networks have become more interconnected and connected to the Internet, the threat from attack has grown tremendously. Many of these networks and systems are not properly protected or rely on security that is not as robust as it could be.
The successful candidate will be able to leverage the company's outstanding reputation as a well-respected security-engineering firm to find new relationships and grow business where we currently have little or no footprint (this is a highly-advantaged greenfield opportunity). Tresys has built its business through direct customer interaction by designing and building solutions to their most complex and sensitive security problems and then deploying those solutions. Stacking the deck in your favor is a management team with extensive experience along with a team of brilliant and dedicated engineers, several who are published and renowned in their field.
The candidate will be a member of a growing Business Development team, with a high degree of autonomy and significant responsibility. This is an individual contributor role, with an annual quota. The compensation package includes a base salary commensurate with experience, along with excellent benefits and significant income potential.

Candidate Requirements:
Experience in the field of Cybersecurity from a solutions-selling perspective. Familiarity with Secure Operating Systems and Information Sharing issues are also highly desirable.
Experience selling high-level engineering and consulting services into Commercial Clients.
Experience selling and shipping security related products to Commercial Clients.
World-class people and presentation skills.
Exemplary ethics and a solid professional reputation that can be verified by references across the community.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.
Strong work ethic, self-starter, able to work independently, and willing to take on new challenges - to roll up your sleeves and do what you need to do in order to solve problems.
Experience with the major nuclear, oil & gas, and electrical energy companies, including current relationships in those organizations.
Foundational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years experience. Candidates with 12 years of strong work related experience will also be considered.
Minimum of 5 years of experience selling services, custom solutions, and or products into the Critical Infrastructure Industry.
U.S. Citizenship required due to Government contract requirements.
