This position will be the lead technical sales role for irrigation technology and nutrient delivery strategies delivered via irrigation. This position will work with Winfield field staff, dealers and consultants to maximize Water Use efficacy and Nutrient Deliver systems to growers. The position will help set up crop management and water management systems including; soil and fertigation monitoring equipment, crop modeling and soil modeling equipment and software and weather systems. This position will be the lead in the training and interpretation of these tools, with the focus on recommending the right nutrition through the right irrigation system for high yields, quality and grower Return on Investment.
Required (Basic) Experience & Education:
A minimum of a Bachelor of Sciences with a focus on irrigation systems and agronomy. Strong soil sciences and plant physiology and plant nutrition
Required Competencies & Other Skills:
Strong communication skills is a must, Must be able to speak in front of large groups with clear concise transfer of knowledge and ideas. Must understand soil moisture monitoring equipment and software as well as fertigation monitoring equipment and software. must be competent with computers, iPads and Smartphones. Must be able to use Microsoft Office software.
Preferred Experience & Education:
At least two to five years of industry experience with an emphasis on irrigation and fertility management and there interactions.
