SUMMARY OF PURPOSE:

To provide the mobilization and instruction for Cryotherapy and Laser services for proper operation of equipment to physicians,
facility, and staff. The completion of all administrative duties associated with the accurate billing and processing of
paperwork, maintain HIPAA and facility standards. Maintain eligibility of employment with respect to critical documents
associated with entering and working within the Operating Room, operating a motor vehicle, any and all company standards.
Assist in the development of existing and new business lines. Able to operate with little supervision while maintaining
consistent communication and follow through with regular reporting. Assist in the continuing quality improvement of company
standards. Represent the company in a professional and service-oriented manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Achieve and maintain manufacturer / company certification to operate Cryo equipment and associated accessories
  • Achieve and maintain manufacturer / company certification to operate Laser equipment and associated accessories
  • Mobilize and secure all equipment inside vehicle
  • Maintain aesthetic and operational parameters of all equipment and accessories
  • Coordinate all inspections with manufacturers and home office to assure all equipment is within manufacturer’s inspection guidelines
  • Maintain inventory and follow reconciliation policies for assigned territory
  • Facilitate accurate and legible documentation of each procedure to assure prompt and complete billing and collection for services
  • Acquire authorized signatures and assist in processing of all required paperwork
  • Follow up with facilities and assist in the collection of services
  • Assisting less experienced physicians/staff in procedures or operation of equipment
  • Relate critical information to the physician based on experience of previous positive outcomes
  • Be resourceful with on the spot troubleshooting should equipment malfunction
  • Possibly working near x-ray/radiology equipment
  • Having to instruct several people simultaneously while in the OR
  • Management of expenses to meet company guidelines / policies
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education and formal training:
  • Four years of High School or equivalent
  • Specialized training beyond High School (up to 6 months)
  • Basic understanding of cryo biology (provided by company if necessary)
  • Basic understanding of laser safety and physics (provided by company if necessary)
Experience:
  • Basic experience with any or all: Urology, Scrub Technician, Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Laser Tech, Cryo Tech, Medical Marketing/Sales
  • Handling and cleaning biohazard accessories
  • Working near sterile operating field
  • Preparing and delivering information in a written form
  • Preparing and delivering information orally in a formal setting
  • Developing and formulating short-range plans/decisions and analyzing and developing solutions to problems
  • Reading/comprehending medical terminology
  • Providing technical support for medical equipment and procedures
  • Operating business machines (computers, keyboards, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable of Urology Anatomy and Anatomical Pathology
  • Operating medical scope sets and instruments
Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Lifting 10 – 50 lbs, pushing equipment up to 250lbs
  • Attachment of regulators to gas tanks (able to tighten with wrench)
  • Operation of hydraulic lift gates
  • Standing for long periods at a time and/or working without consistent break/meals
  • Traveling during adverse weather conditions and/or ability to travel for extended periods of time (3-5 days) via driving and/or air travel
  • Handling and cleaning biohazard accessories
  • Working near sterile operating field and x-ray/radiology equipment
  • Having to instruct several persons simultaneously while in the OR
  • Adheres to the dress code as defined by management and local facilities in accordance with patient care need.
  • Able to handle “high stress” situations with professionalism and decorum
