POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Our residents depend upon the dietary manager to provide tasty, attractively presented meals prepared by well- trained cooks and served by respectful and friendly staff. Three times daily our residents are excited to enter our tastefully appointed dining room eager to enjoy socializing with each other and our staff amid the aromas of home cooked food. At Kingston Nutritional Care is as important as our Nursing Care.

The Director has a successful history of:
maintaining a safe work environment for all employees;

achieving and maintaining exceptional sanitation scores;

implementing nutritionally balanced menu cycles;

implementing and maintaining product receiving and utilization processes;

training staff to achieve consistent quality via standardized recipe utilization;

training staff to attractively plate & present food to residents and guests

compliance with applicable state and federal regulations;

managing ample food and supply budgets.

MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be 21 years of age. Post-secondary training in Culinary Arts, Hotel/Restaurant Management experience preferred. Certification through Safe Serve preferred.

Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a restaurant, hotel or Assisted Living Community.

Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and proficient various computer applications.

Demonstrated experience in budget preparation, staffing, food ordering/inventory, and menu preparation.

Ability to lift 30 pounds more or less continuously. Position requires sitting, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, stretching

Applicant must be able to work flexible hours – including evenings and weekends.

Required Skills
