Reports to the manager, food services. Assisting in preparing and serving food in the cafeteria and accomplishing clean-up functions in compliance with government and management directives.
Keep serving counters stocked with salads, desserts, and other foods.
Replenish napkin dispensers, plate racks, silverware racks, salt and pepper shakers, condiments, etc.
Make coffee, tea, and otehr beverages.
Set up cafeteria lines and serve meals on the line.
Assist in the storage and inventory of supplies; transfer food ingredients from storage area to cooking area.
Clean food service area, tables and kitchen equipment and appliances.
Assist in washing dishes/utensils; store in orderly fashion.
Supervise students assigned to center work support in the cafeteria.
Support CDSS by implementing and participating in activities and programs as described in the center's CDSS plan or as assigned.
Maintain a safe and clean work area that models high standards for a work environment.
Provide positive, quality customer services to students, staff and other center customers.
Participate in student employability programs and activities.
Support and promote center zero tolerance policies.
Promote the development of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students where necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions.
Maintain accountability of students and property; adhere to safety practices.
Limited schooling with the ability to understand written and verbal communications skills and comuter proficiency equired. Valid Illinois food handlers permit. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
