Seasons Center for Behavioral Health is seeking a qualified individual to lead and organize culturally competent Substance Abuse services in Buena Vista and Sioux Counties. The position will work in conjunction with already established substance abuse providers to better meet the substance abuse treatment and recovery needs of individuals and families in Northwest Iowa. Position will be responsible to assess and create a thorough understanding of the cultural landscape in rural northwest Iowa to effectively identify and select culturally and linguistically appropriate substance abuse treatment programs and services, and to create a sustained, comprehensive, culturally competent service delivery model through training, education, and outreach activities creating system change. The position will also be responsible for providing direct Substance Abuse services to clients.

Qualified individuals will have a minimum of a BA in human services and the appropriate licensing and/or certification in Substance Abuse Counseling in the State of Iowa, as well as a knowledge/understanding of the unique cultural makeup of Buena Vista and Sioux Counties and how to engage community groups. A Candidate who has an advanced degree and is bilingual in both English and Spanish is preferred.
