Intel-Assess, a Wireless Generation company, provides assessment solutions to school districts to drive student improvement through actionable data. Intel-Assess allows districts to administer any combination of short cycle, formative, and summative assessments that match the district’s assessment goals and scope and sequence. Districts can produce their own assessments with Intel-Assess’ best-in-breed, online, assessment creation tool, or Intel-Assess will produce assessments aligned to the district’s blueprints. Intel-Assess also provides consultative services, including assisting districts in defining, and executing effective assessment models and providing printing and distribution support.

The Curriculum and Assessment Specialist will manage the development of ELA and HSS assessments for districts to match their assessment program goals. The Curriculum and Assessment Specialist will work with the district leads to review and revise assessments ensuring districts make decisions that lead to high-quality assessments that achieve their intended purpose. The Curriculum and Assessment Specialist will participate in various development projects in her content area to ensure that new development meets district needs.

Responsibilities of Curriculum and Assessment Specialist, ELA/HSS:

Review district assessment blueprints and provide feedback on how to improve them Build assessments from the item bank and review and respond to district feedback to ensure high quality assessments Write, revise, review, and specify items to meet district needs Manage contractors supporting assessment creation projects Manage multiple projects simultaneously Participate in content-related projects as appropriate, including research & development or new products, field testing of new products, and contributing to RFP responses.

Requirements of Curriculum and Assessment Specialist, ELA/HSS:

BA in English, History, or related field, MEd preferred plus Formal teacher training, education degree, or past or current teaching credential, administrative credential preferred 3 years’ managing assessment programs 3 years’ teaching experience, K-12 professional development experience preferred Experience writing, editing, and reviewing assessment items Experience developing and reviewing criterion referenced assessments Specialized credential in reading or related discipline preferred English to Spanish translation experience preferred Ability to learn and work in a content management system with experience working in an educational technology company preferred

Location:
This position operates in a distance model, and the candidate can be located anywhere in the United States (California preferred)
