Design and develop content and curriculum for specific learning programs related to Customer Sales and Experience training deliverables. Collaborate with key managers, partners and SMEs both inside and outside of the business to gather needed materials, research, source content, insight and expertise. Leverage creativity and innovation skills to recommend, design, develop and implement new curriculums and learning strategies in a highly transforming culture. Training is designed and delivered with the specific intent of increasing job capabilities, revenue and retention. Partner with eLearning team to develop distance learning and blended learning solutions.
Major Areas of Accountability:
Have a high level of visibility and personal accountability for researching, recommending, developing and implementing training solutions for customers and members of channel and segment teams across the business.
Develop, source and deliver training based on instructional design methods, providing knowledge enhancement and performance consulting services to Thomson Reuters and our external clients when required.
Be a key member of a team responsible for assessing, researching, designing, sourcing, managing, developing, implementing and evaluating training solutions.
Define ideal mix of training modalities to create excellence in blended learning programs.
Strong understanding of training and development techniques and practices related to needs assessment, program development, blended learning and evaluation.
Define and maintain standards for design and development process, templates and materials supporting new content and curriculum development. Content includes: scripting, positioning, playbooks, participant guides, story boards, facilitator guides, quick reference guides, etc.
Design and Develop content and curriculum for projects assigned.
Collaborate with, educate, consult with and coach other members of the Education, Training and Development team on principles of adult learning, instructional design practices and effective learning techniques.
Partner with internal and external organizations including external consultants, product development, e-commerce, content development and sales training to deliver programs design to drive business transformation and growth.
Conduct Train the trainer, classroom training or live online training when appropriate demonstrating strong presentation skills.
Manage a variety of training projects (large and small in scope) and represent the training team on corporate projects and initiatives. Project planning, project management and execution expectations beyond training.
Continuously build personal knowledge and capability by attending professional courses and seminars. Network, read journals, blogs and trade publications in an effort to stay current with industry insights and best practices.

Bachelor’s Degree with 5 or more years of design, development and implementation of training; Knows and can apply the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of instructional design, adult learning and Kirkpatrick's levels of evaluation.
Previous Sales and/or Sales Training Experience within a professional services, technical solutions, or similar service/consulting based organization.
Sales and/or sales training experience, preferably in a large account sale or face to face environment.
Experience designing and developing elearning content using tools like Captivate, Articulate, Flash or industry equivalent.
Strong Business Acumen required. 5 – 7 years of business experience required.
Excellent writing and presentation skills that contribute to the transfer of market insight, technological advantage, and effective sales technique. Must have demonstrated experience working with and presenting to all levels within the organization.
Experience with rapid instructional design and delivery required. Experience working with outsourced content development, e-learning creation a plus.
Experience designing blended learning using ILT, VILT, e-learning, video and social media.
Working knowledge of one or more of the following distance learning tools: WebEx Meeting or Training Center, Flash, Captivate, Articulate (or similar tools available within the industry) is preferred.
Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
Must be self motivated and self directed; must be comfortable with prioritizing, establishing objectives and processes, and working to achieve them; must be a self learner.
Must be able to establish and maintain effective, collaborative working relationships with all departments and organizational levels.
Can learn and navigate quickly when faced with new, unfamiliar or ambiguous situations; can quickly grasp the underlying issue.
Experience working with various geographies to standardize sales tactics to allow for the creation of a single, comprehensive and scalable sales training program.
Skilled with Word, Excel, PowerPoint 2007.
Knowledge of Legal industry/business helpful.
Strong computer, web navigation and technical skills
Online instructional design experience
Experience developing a new hire sales’ on-boarding program
Familiar with agile design processes
