The Curriculum Solutions Manager is a full-time professional with knowledge and experience in project management, instructional design, and client support. The Curriculum Solutions Manager leads course development and customization projects for instructor-led and online training materials. Curriculum Solutions Managers are expected to learn ESI’s standard products, educate clients on the products, and serve as instructional design experts for the design of client-specific solutions best suited to the meet the clients’ needs. Primary emphasis is on managing multiple, simultaneous course customization projects for external clients.

Key Responsibilities

Manage instructor-led, virtual, and online course customization projects based on requirements provided by clients and the business development team.

Apply project management skills to projects in a virtual and global environment including managing scope, cost, and schedule; managing stakeholders, and managing changes as appropriate.

Ensure creation and management of appropriate project management and legal documents including but not limited to Statements of Work, Letters of Engagement, project charters, project plans, etc.

Ensure instructional design of course materials is sound and meets client requirements

Manage contractors as needed, including subject-matter experts and instructional designers

Ensure copyright permissions are obtained as needed

Conduct course development needs assessments

Facilitate stakeholder relationships throughout the course customization project lifecycle, including appropriate communications with external (clients, vendors, contractors) and internal stakeholders (e.g., business development managers, executives)

Escalate project issues as they arise

Plan and facilitate meetings

Prepare and submit status reports to manager

Provide course development product and process knowledge through formal and informal presentations to ESI business development and program managers, clients, and prospects

Research latest theories and best practices on instructional design and adult learning in a global environment

Required Skills

Knowledge of and experience in applying Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodology in both instructor-led and online synchronous and asynchronous environments

Demonstrated ability to take initiative to solve problems

Strong organizational skills

Sensitivity to details and deadlines

Ability to interact well with all levels of ESI and client management and staff

Proven experience with client/stakeholder relationship management

Strong facilitation skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project

Ability to work with a learning content management systems (LCMS)

Ability to travel nationally on an as-needed basis

Knowledge and experience of ESI processes and procedures a plus

Experience with 508 compliance and SCORM/AICC compliance is a plus

Required Experience

Minimum of 4 years experience developing adult education/training courses

Minimum four-year college degree or relevant work experience

Experience with competency identification, development, and assessment is preferred

Exceptional oral and written communication skills

Exceptional project management skills
