Responsibilities: As an Account Manager, you will manage an existing customer base, proactively maintaining an excellent relationship and identifying new business opportunities within those accounts. Through direct calling, email and contact efforts you will identify, qualify, and generate these new business opportunities by working directly with the nation's leading IT decision makers within Cogent's corporate customer base. Using consultative and relationship building selling techniques, Customer Account Managers will achieve monthly revenue goals by up-selling Cogent's corporate products into a base of current customer accounts.


A qualified candidate will have 1-4+ years of solid, B2B sales experience preferably in the technology arena. Although previous sales experience is highly preferred, it is not necessary. Experienced and professional communication skills both oral and written are a must. You must also be able to work in a fast paced, team environment with revenue deadlines. A track record of success and recent experience is required. A college degree is preferred. Professional knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft office and Siebel are a plus.
