Our Opportunity

This position is responsible for answering a busy VOIP ShoreTel phone system for multiple locations and is also the first point of customer contact. This position is also responsible for providing a positive customer experience by phone and in person, while displaying a cheerful outlook and dedication to Excellence Beyond Expectations ® .

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the voice of Midwest and information resource for customers nationwide

Professionally administer all incoming calls

Ensure phone calls are redirected accordingly

Act as liaison between customers and Midwest staff

Assist other Customer Assistance Representatives to maintain equal levels within the department

Maintain a variety of automated and manual records on calls and enter data into computer

Type memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as requested

Support other departments with clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, faxing, filing and collating

Rotate through greeter desk with other Customer Assistance Representatives and provide in-person service as needed to staff and customers entering the corporate office

Update informational binders and quick reference sheets; keep office supplies stocked for greeter desk; prepare envelopes for mailing

Maintain a neat and organized lobby during greeter desk rotations including; holiday decorating, watering and maintenance of plants, etc.

Key Requirements

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Exceptional interpersonal communication skills

Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy in a clear, courteous and professional manner

Ability to be accurate, dependable, punctual and confidential

Ability to multi-task and work independently

Ability to accept direction on given assignments

Ability to maintain an organized work environment

High School diploma or equivalent and 1+ year(s) telephone service experience or a combination of experience in the areas of customer service, receptionist and office support providing equivalent knowledge

This position will eventually have varying shifts within the hours of 7am and 7pm
