ring cycles) assisting customers in scheduling freight pick ups
while asking all necessary questions, and/or tracing freight as
needed to provide customer with current location of freight and
estimated date and time freight will reach final delivery.Gather
pertinent information and prepare price quotation for customers. The
key is providing quality customer service on every call representing
the company in a professional manner.
spends 95% of each day on the telephone. Candidate will be
expected to handle all types of customer calls professionally.
Individual will be expected to work autonomously and organize day in
order to complete daily assignments. Individual may be asked to
switch from one task to another on short notice. Candidate must
be able to demonstrate a strong math ability including but not
limited to applying discounts properly, undertanding how and when to
apply accessorial charges and the basic application of transportation
rates such as rates per hundred or rates per mile. Candidate must be
able to calculate the physical space occuplied in the trailer by a
High School Education or Equivalent.
Basic computer skills including basic
understanding of MS Word and Excel. Previous
transportation experience in rating/billing/customer service or a
related field. Documented customer service/sales experience.
