Job Description:
The Implementation Specialist, in conjunction with our
financial institution and their clients, will deliver
the migration of assigned client transmissions from
legacy transmission banking platforms to the financial
institutions go-forward infrastructure and application.
Candidate will be responsible for planning and executing
system builds, troubleshooting system exceptions,
provding consulting and guidance to client on system and
industry protocols, and coordinating with both internal
and external resources to successfully complete
migration process.
The Implementation Specialist will manage the onboarding
process of assigned client transmissions in accordance
with the financial institution and GXS existing policies
and procedures. Onboarding/migration responsibilities

include:
1. Manage multiple implementations simultaneously
using a structured project management approach
2. Research client current configuration within
multiple legacy system(s)
3. Explain all aspects of the process focusing on the
recommended implementation and migration approach
4. Coordinate various internal bank and external
resources to complete implementations successfully
including IT, Operations, and Data Transmission
resources
5. Educate and counsel clients regarding networks,
receivable networks, industry protocols, data
routing, and security issues
6. Configure connectivity and routing builds on the
transmissions platform
7. Execute system provisioning and client training in
the go-forward system
8. Test and confirm client connectivity to the
go-forward system
9. Review and validate go-forward system’s
transmission format requirements
10. Broker end-to-end integration testing
11. Coordinate client go-live activities
12. Monitor/troubleshoot post go-live transmissions
and transition migrated clients to steady state
support
13. Provide consultative guidance to the client on
systems, with strong focus on the Managed File
Transfer Platform
14. Act as the single point of contact for client
inquiries and guidance during the migration process
and transition to production support
15. Provide consultative guidance as necessary for
internal constituents including Application Teams,
Client Services and Line of Business
Implementation Specialist performance will be measured

Job Requirements:Knowledge:
  • Communications Protocols (AS2, SSL, SSH, FTP w/PGP,
HTTPs), Mainframe, Unix,
  • EDI, XML, Business Analysis
  • Project Management
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree
Industry Experience:
  • Strong client facing skills and proven ability to
multi-task.
  • Previous experience with large scale client
migrations between bank platforms
