General Summary:

The Customer Publications Administrator builds and operates the business unit responsible for the administration, sales, and distribution of the Customers’ aircraft operational and maintenance publications and subscriptions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develops and implements the processes from post-authoring acceptance to final distribution, necessary to meet business and regulatory requirements.

2. Maintains subscriber’s’ list and administers publication sales and revision service.

3. Sells initial subscriptions and revision service.

4. Provides portal access and hardcopy distribution as required.

5. Provides support to subscribers for web access issues, navigation as well as quality administrative and distribution issues. Assists customers with daily content and administrative issues and problems requiring coordination with other groups for timely resolution. Ensures publication discrepancy and change requests are properly and timely resolved.

6. Provides support to the Customer Service Business Systems team in defining, specifying, and writing user story and experience when consulting on-line publications.

7. Specifies and helps Business Systems build the publications management and billing system. Ensures that all publications distribution and revision service obligations are met.

8. Sets-up new customers accounts and access rights and subscriptions, update existing customers access rights and subscriptions via a “booking” procedure that is used every time a new subscription or renewal is processed.

9. Coordinates with vendors as required ensuring continuous access to vendor authored publications and/or access to vendor on-line publications and other transactional agreements.

10. Specifies purchases and operates the hardware and software necessary to distribute the publications.

11. Specifies the requirements and secure agreements with sub-contractors as necessary to print, build, mail, etc. our publications.

12. Reviews payments and invoicing for accuracy and compliance with contractual terms and departmental guidelines. Reviews contract files to ensure all obligations and appropriate documentations have been completed and are in place.

13. Assists with budgeting for the publications distribution operations.

14. Stays abreast of aviation and export regulations to ensure the department’s activities are in compliance with requirements.

15. Develops and implements oversight and metrics to successfully manage Customer Service operations to achieve financial, operational, and service objectives.

16. Writes all necessary Policies and Procedures and Work Instruction’s related to the above consistency in workflow.

17. Prepares documentation and training for subscribers to Honda‘s publication.

18. Prepares weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as requested by management.

Education, Work Experience, Certification and/or Licensure:

1. Bachelor’

s degree in Aviation Management, Customer Relations, preferred. 4 years of related experience may be substitued in lieu of degree

2. 4 years experience in a legal, contracts, or purchasing department

3. Pilot and/or A&P license preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

2. Excellent presentation skills.

3. Strong experience in customer relations, contract management, and problem resolution.

4. Ability to work with all levels of staff and customers.

5. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

6. Working knowledge of SAP preferred.

7. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

8. Ability to multi-task.

9. Knowledge of ITAR/EAR regulations.

10. Thorough familiarity with aviation operational and technical publication.

11. Experience with a publication authoring software.

12. Technical knowledge of the set-up and management of Website/Portal private areas accesses through logins and passwords.

Physical Requirements:

1. Incumbents may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise heat-cold-dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors.

2. Incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties.

3. Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.).

4. Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties.

5. Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.

6. Effectively communicate in Business English language.

7. Pull, push, carry, lift, or move items up to 10 lbs. throughout the work shift without assistance, as required by job duties.

8. Pull, push, carry, lift or move materials/people/items/equipment weighing up to 50lbs or more during the work shift, with the use of Company provided “reach assistance technology” or “movement assist technology” (fork-lifts, pallet jacks, pulleys, dolly’s, robotics reach equipment, people movers etc.), as required by job duties.
