ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in the provision of the highest service level possible to patients / customers
Primarily responsible for all activities related to the reception, distribution, and de
livery interactions with
various customers in/at any of the BHME service locations
CSC’s participate in the overall referral intake process (telephone and
or face to face),
verification, and data entry processes, as well as the provision of all delivery, setup,
and basic instruction
activities related to home medical equipment and supplies
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma, Associate degree in Business Administration or Communications
Minimum of two years of Home Medical Equipment or home health industry experience, 4-6
equivalent health care and insurance verification experience preferred.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and work well
Must possess interpersonal skills needed to interact effectively with patients, nurses,
in-house staff members.
Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills,
Proficient in medical terminology, ICD-9 Coding and Computer software/hardware programs.
Demonstrates creativity and problem-solving skills,
Must be flexible, organized, and detail orientated,
Proficient typing and office skills necessary to assure accurate data entry, and processing of
a timely manner,
Insurance verification experience for benefit and coverage determination.
Able to demonstrate a high degree of emotional maturity, poise, flexibility and good judgment
