The Customer Service Representative is responsible for the complete and accurate maintenance of member accounts, in accordance with policies and procedures. Specific duties may include answering member questions, preparing reports, documenting complaints, and clarifying benefit changes/exclusions, along with ensuring that all insurance requirements are met in the enrollment transactions and related processes. This position will adhere to all policies, procedures and regulations to ensure patient safety and compliance.
Education: Minimum: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Desired: Associateâ€™s Degree in related field of study
Technical/Formal Training: Medical Terminology
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: ability to type and enter data efficiently and accurately. Ability to work independently. Ability to communicate effectively. Knowledge of office procedures. Knowledge of insurance plans. Skilled in a variety of software applications.
Experience: One (1) year of previously related experience. Preferred: Previous medical office experience.
Licensure: Preferred: Heart Saver
