Customer Service Rep III/EDI Technical Helpdesk

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The successful candidate will need to work in the Topeka, KS office. This position serves as part of the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) team. Primary duties include monitoring and troubleshooting interfaces with external entities and the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) that CLIENT supports for the State of Kansas. Position includes troubles shooting Kansas physician and hospital electronic claims submission and other interface questions and issues. Duties also include monitoring and troubleshooting problems with file transfers between CLIENT and the state client and other companies.
DESCRIPTION:
Working more independently and from a standard protocol to respond to customer issues.
Moderate judgment may be used to supplement the outlined process.
Successfully resolve moderate technical issues (related to hardware and software) from incoming customer contacts and proactive notification systems.
Proactively assist customers to avoid or reduce problem occurrence.
Participates in projects for process or quality improvements.
Ability to read, understand, and interpret complex regulatory and procedural documents.
Knowledge of HIPAA transactions is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Knowledge in electronic claims processing
Knowledge of HIPAA transactions
Prior Help Desk experience
Superior skills in both written and verbal communication
Computer proficiency with applicable software applications
PC skills must be able to troubleshoot problems from remote users having PC issues with the system.
Problem solving skills
Accuracy in data entry
Familiarity with computer technology
Knowledgeable in call routing and case management processes as well as case logging systems and obligation systems.
Understands internal processes and tools
Strong analytical skills
Flexibility with the ability to multi-task
Familiarity with (HIPAA) x 12 transactions a plus
