Performs both patient and insurance account functions for assigned clinics. Responsible for making surse that Customer service is always at the forefront by demonstrating courtesy, enthusiasm and professionalism at all times. Walk in customers are greeted promptly. Representative takes ownership of ensuring customer needs are met and issues resolved on each call . Responsible for working and resolving assigned worklists. Utilizing all systems and resources available. Ensuring all items within each worklist is resolved or worked within 24 hours. Responsible for daily processing of requests such as medical/billing record requests, bankruptcy, legal notices, check alert notices, mail return, and etc. Accurately works and researches accounts prior to transferring balance to another party. Makes comments to support transaction on the line item. Documents relevant information professionally within NextGen.
Billing for a medical practice or physician including ICD-9 and CPT coding. Prior customer service role in a medical billing/insurance call center preferred. Nextgen experience preferred, but not required. Must have excellent communication skills on the phone and in-person. Good problem solving skills required.
