CUSTOMER SERVICE REP.
REPORTS TO: Customer Service Manager
SUMMARY: Takes phone orders, processes orders received via email, inputs information into the computer, filing, and works on special projects.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Take Phone Orders
Answers incoming phone calls and records customer account numbers, company name, address phone number, person’s name requesting order, and actual order. Also lets customer know when they will receive their order.
2. Inputs Information Into The Computer
Keys in new box information for all accounts. Makes computerized location changes, assign customers new departments in the computer, generates and prints reports as needed.
INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONTACT
Internal – Office Personnel, Sales Representatives, Warehouse personnel.
External – Customer, Potential Customer, Vendors and Suppliers.
Requires some computer knowledge.
Typing skills (preferably 45-55 wpm) with 95 – 100% accuracy. Customer Service Experience. Must know 10 key by touch. Must be able to work alone (with little or no supervision). Must be flexible, spontaneous and able to deal with the unexpected.
