Cargill Grain & Oilseed Supply Chain consists of 11 businesses that operate on an integrated global basis. We source, trade, process and distribute grain and oilseeds. The main bulk products handled are wheat, corn, oilseeds, barley and sorghum, as well as vegetable oils, meals and ethanol. This group of businesses works closely Cargill's ocean freight and logistics business.
Cargill Grain & Oilseed Supply Chain employs more than 20,000 people in 46 countries. Cargill Grain & Oilseed Supply Chain operates 245 interior silos, 28 import/export elevators, 62 crush plants and palm oil plantations in Indonesia. It also encompasses three vegetable oil refineries and numerous joint ventures.
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) will report to the Accounting Supervisor and will
provide back-office support to both the Sales and Finance functions.
Contract administration – includes contract entry into Lynx including CRM and Pro-Pricing, print contracts and pricings/ forward for signatures and mail daily, handle confirmations, pricing, amendments, advise merchant weekly of past-due and unconfirmed contracts, manage contract cancellations, set-up new customer codes as needed, give out spot bids
Customer Focus - answer incoming calls fielding questions or directing to appropriate person, call on customers delinquent accounts, handle any customer issues with weights, contract balances in a timely and professional manner and communicate customer requests
Assist Merchant – must be able to provide complete backup for merchant during peak harvest time and while merchant is absent. Assist in buying grain and selling solutions to non-targeted accounts.
Create daily price sheet, update phone and website with current prices, send daily activity and daily logistics email
15% - Accounting support - as needed including truck settlements and payment, inventory reconciliation, and vendor payments, invoicing,
reconciling solutions related to balance sheet accounts
10% - Miscellaneous Support – coordination of customer/merchandising events, ordering supplies, records management, assist with distribution of newsletters, brochures, direct mail projects, etc.
Relocation will not be provided for this position.
Associates Degree OR a minimum of 2 years Customer Service or Sales experience
Proficient using Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
Ability to work efficiently using multiple computer programs
Proven ability to accurately and consistently execute complex and detailed processed and procedures
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Proven interpersonal and communication skills
Proven ability to adapt to change
Familiarity with grain merchandising, contract terms and grain specifications
Accounting analysis skills
