DESCRIPTION

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for reception and processing of customer transactions at ECB's Winterville office.

This is a temporary position which is expected to approximately 3 months.

DUTIES

1. Greet and assist customers with routine bank transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, traveler's checks, gift checks, bond redemptions, loan and charge card payments, and cash advances. Must verify these transactions.

2. Balance station activities on a daily basis to ensure accuracy and efficiency including entering name change corrections, replenishing drawers, and maintaining transaction records. Must maintain money at levels specified by bank policies.

3. Provide telephone and/or public assistance to customer inquiries, requests, complaints or direct questions to appropriate sources.

4. Prepare and file paperwork such as loan documents, check receipts and correspondence.

5. Issue account holds and closings when appropriate.

6. Cross-sell bank services and refer to lines of business.

7. Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local bank regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Position requires possession of a high school diploma or GED. Knowledge of banking procedures complimented with previous teller experience is helpful but not required. Incumbent must successfully complete CSR training and hold strong interpersonal skills, detail proficiency, some basic mathematical aptitude and an ability to work quickly and efficiently. Incumbent uses personal computers and all standard office equipment. Position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time. 1.
