General Purpose of the Position:

You will be r esponsible for answering incoming phone calls, entering and shipping customer orders, and solving customer problems.

General Job Description:

· Answering all incoming phone calls

· Being courteous and friendly to all callers in all situations

· Hand writing customer orders on an order sheet.

· Keying in orders into computer in a timely manner

· Double checking orders to ensure accuracy.

· Handling customer issues: figuring out estimated time of delivery, notifying salesman of customer problems or issues

· Communicating with warehouse to check status of shipping department

· Checking in drivers (following written guidelines)

· Taking “next day” orders onto an order sheet and calling customers on call sheet.

· Periodically checking the voicemail and removing messages

· Perform other tasks as directed by management

Good attendance and adherence to work schedule

Educational Requirement:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
Experience Required:
  • General understanding of distribution and warehouseing procdeures preferred
  • One year experience in an office setting, a sales or customer service related position preferred
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively to satisfy customer needs
