Position: Customer Service Rep (CSR) Reports to: Sales Manager

Department: Inside Sales

Basic Job Concept:

FreshPoint West Coast Florida, Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate to fill an open position as a Customer Service Representative . Position will consist of maintaining existing customer base in addition to growing our marketplace by demonstrating strong customer service and communication skills. Candidate must quickly and accurately key incoming orders from live callers, voice mails, and pull orders of web-based ordering system with a high level of accuracy and consistency. AS400 experience a plus. Is also required to effectively promote precuts and services through suggestive selling and ensure customer satisfaction by identifying customers’ needs and reacting to solve problems and provide solutions.

Work hours and days off may vary, standard hours of operations are Monday- Saturday from 7:30am until 8 pm (or until work is completed). May be required to work up to six (6) days on a rotating basis and some holidays.

Educational Requirements:

High school diploma.

Experience Required:

  • General understanding of distribution and warehousing procedures preferred.
  • One (1) year experience in a sales related position preferred.
  • Proved ability to communicate effectively to satisfy the customers’ needs.

  • Specific Responsibilities:

  • Identify customer needs and satisfy them profitably.
  • Maintain existing customer base through effective customer service skills.
  • Identify lost/split customers and inform manager.
  • Foster solid working relationships with other departments.
  • Follow through with customer requests.
  • Understand edit procedure, operate the phone system and by cross training to run necessary reports as needed.
  • Visit active customers when scheduled with a DSR.
  • Maintain open communications with DSR’s.
  • Answer phone calls within three (3) rings.
  • Never leave sales office unattended.
  • Introduce new items to customers.
  • Suggestively sell product we are long on.
  • Monitor customer gross profit levels and advise as needed when low.
  • Input orders into computer system.
  • Advise customers of operational procedures (special orders, call-in cutoff, etc.).
  • Attend sales meetings as scheduled.
  • Contact all customers assign specific.
  • Notify customers daily of items T.O. or substituted.
  • Coordinate donations through manager.
  • Suggestively sell promotional items.
  • Notify DSR of new/lost customers immediately after knowledge.
  • Work your weekly schedule including scheduled weekends.
  • Other duties are required by management
