The position facilitates referrals for equipment and services and ensures all invoices and billings are processed in an appropriate manner. Serves as a key member of the Customer Service team supporting the company's mission of customer service excellence.
Validates all information necessary to deliver appropriate items to clients in a timely an efficient and safe manner.
Inputs necessary information into computer to validate client information, including products and payor source. Maintains oxygen data base.
Processes invoices needed to deliver and/or pick up products, including any comments necessary to enhance efficiencies of delivery/pick up.
Ensures deliveries are authorized by payor source and includes documentation in computer system and intake sheet. Prepares RX's/CMN for physician signature.
Prints forms needed to bill payor source at time initial invoice is processed. Ensures paperwork is filed according to chart management.
Responds to claim corrections and makes appropriate changes in computer as needed.
Answers and routes incoming calls and faxes. Takes messages, prepares sales quotes, and interacts with walk in customers.
Some college preferable. Must have 3 years healthcare or customer service related experience. Organized, flexible, self-motivated with the ability to communicate with all levels of the medical team. Ability to develop and apply effective customer service skills. Ability to establish effective relationships with both internal and external customers. Computer literate in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge of DME programs is desirable.
