o Using proper telephone etiquette and techniques, answer customer

service telephone calls in a timely, polite and professional manner

o Efficiently and professionally respond to customer and sales

representatives questions pertaining to orders, product availability,

price, and delivery

o Work with a high degree of accuracy while placing orders within

the system following established policies and procedures

o In addition to stock orders, process customer special orders via

established procedures

o Manage and track all backorders using established reports and

procedures

o Process direct purchase orders associated with direct sales orders

and, in conjunction with procurement coordinate adding indirect lines

to stock purchase orders.Expedite outstanding purchase orders and, in

conjunction with procurement, resolve outstanding supplier invoice

exceptions associated with managed purchase orders

o Source products based upon customer needs within existing base of

products and suppliers (only)

o Ability to negotiate cost on direct and in indirect purchase

orders

o With guidance from management and/or sales professionals,

establish pricing that can deviate from established pricing where

appropriate

o Researches more complex problems which may include delivery

follow-up, order tracking and retrieving proof of deliver forms or

direct follow-up with suppliers regarding product complaints

o Proactively build order size and trade margin through suggestive

selling and alternatives such as close out inventory. May initiative

outbound sales calls for selected customers.

o Process requests for credits and returns in a timely manner and

assist credit and sales with resolving customer disputed invoices.

o Support established service optimization guidelines and polices in

daily decision making.

o Create and manage quotes to customer via established policies and

procedures with existing suppliers and products

o Retain an advanced knowledge of products targeted at assigned

customer segment

o Ability to perform basic business analysis for assigned accounts

o Other duties as assigned
