Qualified applicants for this opportunity will possess
  • A Bachelor’s degree preferably in a technical discipline, i.e. chemistry or engineering
  • 1+ years customer service or order management experience a plus
  • Good knowledge of E-Business systems
  • Proficient computer skills (MS Office, Avenue, interface applications); knowledge of JD Edwards Enterprise One or similar ERP system preferred. Knowledge of and experience with business intelligence tools a plus

Function
A Leading Company located in Monmouth County, New Jersey has an opportunity for a Customer Service Representative

Duties
  • Receive, enter, track and manage complex orders within the sales order management system
  • Ensure on time shipment / delivery of all orders.
  • Coordinate with warehouses and plants to as necessary to resolve issues relating to on time shipment
  • Resolve routine customer complaints and issues: responding professionally & timely to customer requests – Entering and monitoring complaints
  • Coordinate with internal and external logistics’ partners to achieve on time customer deliveries
  • Provide back- up customer service for specified representatives
  • Determine the needs of internal and external customers by asking the right questions, listening, and confirming before acting, presenting responsible alternatives, providing feedback to sales, marketing and planning regarding customer requirements
  • Monitor release of all holds on orders to ensure shipment date adherence
  • Obtain approvals and follow through on customer returns, associated credit memos and price overrides
  • Coordinate shipments with production planning, plants and warehouses to ensure that inventory is appropriately allocated to orders
  • Interact with credit department to expedite credit reviews
  • Coordinate with Sales & Commercial Services to resolve pricing issues
  • Participate in business meetings as appropriate to his/her area of responsibility
  • Developing and expanding work skills to improve performance
  • Recognizing the links between his/her work and that of others; seeing the impact of the system as a whole
