We offer a complete line of custom batters, breadings, coatings, spices, seasonings, capsicums, and functional ingredients for food manufacturers and the foodservice industries.We have an immediate opening for a Customer Service Representative in our Chicago, Illinois office. The Customer Service Representative works under the direction of the Customer Service Supervisor and will be responsible for customer needs, concerns, and ensuring they are properly prepared and meeting company and customer standards.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Effectively provide excellent support to assigned customer service accounts. Effectively coordinate work to ensure that all production departments understand and know about scheduled ship times and customer specifications and requirements. Updates files, answers phone calls, records, logs, and insures data is properly communicated and meets company requirements. Work with Sales employees and production to coordinate with prospective Warehouse, QA on any production issues. Work on assigned projects. Takes orders and arranges for completed products/samples to be shipped to customers. Conduct product presentations for internal/external customers. The ideal candidate will possess the following: High School Diploma or GED and some college preferred. A minimum of two years experience in prior customer service/client servicing in the food industry. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills, writing, and knowledge of Lotus, Microsoft Office programs, such as Excel and Word. Knowledge of AS400 a plus.
