NorMed is currently looking for a highly motivated, detailed and results oriented Customer Service Representative who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a great work ethic. The Customer Service Representative’s primary responsibility is to provide phone support to our customer contacts, developing relationships with our customers that foster a professional yet friendly image.
Responsibilities may include:
Confirm the order by asking the customer to check it while you read it back to them. You are responsible to make sure that the customer's order is written up for correct items and in the correct quantities. This means that you must anticipate problems and solve them in advance.
Research special order items: find the source, our cost and figure customer's price when the computer doesn't do it automatically.
Input mailed-in or faxed-in orders and requests for quotations.
Prepare bids and quotes for sending to customer.
Solicit feedback on how we're doing and record information for managers to review.
Suggest alternate or additional items as appropriate to customer needs
Support to Sales Department
Keep salesperson/partner informed of: New Accounts, new opportunities, unsolved problems with their accounts, bids and results.
Send out product information, literature and samples as necessary to support salesperson or as needed to provide full product information to customer per their product inquiries.
Resolve all customer problems within guidelines and such that it is a win for both the customer and the company.
Provide information to customers concerning backorders and anticipated shipping dates per procedure.
Help other customer service team members as needed to keep the department meeting its goals and deadlines.
Requirements of the position:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service business to business role, where primary support was provided via phone in a high call volume environment.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Ability to take direction from multiple parties
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Proficiency with MS Office
Follow through and attention to detail
Strong business acumen
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, of which reflect a friendly, detailed, accurate, engaging tone.
