Final Inspector
This position ensures that products and services
delivered by SIMCO comply with customers’ requirements
and SIMCO Policies and Procedures and has the authority
to withhold product from shipment or suspend a
calibration in order to prevent the release of product
whose quality is suspect.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Inspects completed equipment ensuring attached labels
and tags are appropriate and correct
2. Inspects completed calibration certificates to verify
information provided is accurate and any special
requirements of customers have been met
3. Signs and stamps certificates verifying inspection
was completed
4. Makes copies of any supplemental data sheets for
filing
5. Documents any noted discrepancies
6. Updates status of equipment in computer system
7. Stages outgoing equipment for delivery or shipping
8. Initiates Customer Return Reports
9. Prepares weekly Quality Assurance Reports
Qualifications
1. Knowledge in the use of Windows, Excel, Word,
Outlook, and Internet Browsers
2. Incoming and final inspection practices
3. Experience in quality assurance procedures desirable
4. Excellent communication skills both verbal and in
writing
5. Must be able to read and comprehend operating
procedures or instructions and effectively present
information in one-on-one and small group situations to
employees of the organization
6. Must be logical and detail oriented
7. Must have the ability to investigate and make
reasonable conclusions for Quality Assurance related
issues

Job Requirements:
Physical Demands (lifting, standing, bending, repetitive
motion, etc. – be as specific as possible)
1. Standing and walking 25% and sitting 75% of the time
2. Must have the ability to stand, walk, and sit for
prolonged periods of time
3. Must be able to operate a personal computer,
keyboard, and pointing device
4. Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
unaided
Working Environment
(office environment, laboratory, travel, etc.)
Works in an office environment with controlled
temperatures and humidity. While performing the duties
of this job, the employee may occasionally expose to
fumes or airborne particles, toxic, or caustic
chemicals.
