About the Customer Service Representative Position:
The Advisement Center Customer Service Representative performs varied clerical work involving aiding students with the admission, financial aid, and other online processes at Texas State Technical College. This position will supervise a 17 station lab to be used by applicants and current students and provide clerical support to the Advisors.
High school graduate or GED equivalent. Associates preferred.
One year of higher education experience preferred.
Possess technological skills, including but not limited to using Microsoft Office products.
Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
Exhibit effective communication skills and ability to interact effectively with students, parents, faculty, and staff.
Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with college faculty and staff, administration, and students.
Maintain up-to-date with on-line applications, FAFSA, and other processes. Must be able to provide students guidance regarding TSTC enrollment processes.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include some nights and weekends.
Will perform other duties, as assigned.
