Accountable for the activities of customer service, order/sample processing, interpreting and clarifying customer orders for the shipping; conferring with management regarding customer pricing, credits. Inform customers of any delay in meeting customer’s expectation. Keep customers informed at all times.

Accountable for the customer service, billing and post ship billing processes. Interpret and clarify customer orders, check price, quantity and shipping terms for the billing or credit adjustments; conferring with management regarding customer prices, credits;


Enters orders into ERP system (BPCS) and confirms Product, Price, Quantity, "Bill to" address, "Ship to" address, FOB shipping point terms, to customers in a professional and timely manner.

Evaluates customer’s credit to determine status how orders should be billed.

Check product availability, consider nearest shipping point.

Trace and track all shipments for on-time delivery.

Prepare a list of daily shipments for warehouse.

Check daily on pending orders to ensure that shipments will meet customers expectations (orders/samples.)

Responsible for maintaining and updating customer price files on competitive price changes and customer contracts.

Identifies the appropriate company location to ship goods to the customer so that they receive products in a timely manner.

Ensures that special shipping and packaging requirements are satisfied.

Maintains customer master files for accurate and complete documentation for each customer and product so that inquires can be resolved in an expeditious manner.

Assures that department policies and procedures comply with ISO requirements.

Performs special assignments upon request.


Associate’s Degree in Science or Business plus significant, relevant work experience acceptable.

Bachelor’s degree in Science or Business (especially Accounting or Marketing) preferred.

Five years of customer service and high-volume order-processing experience is srongly preferred.

Experience working in Customer Service in the Manufacturing industry (preferably Chemical related) preferred.

Specialty Chemical industry experience is a plus.

Strong skills and experience in data-entry, word processing/PC proficiency

Detail oriented, customer focused.
