Customer Service Representative

Position Objective

Provide support to sales representatives, customers and the production staff of the assigned facility. Enter orders as they are received from customers or sales. Ensure all parties have agreed and signed off on documentation of orders. Provide input on how to best provide service to internal and external customers.

Essential Functions

Serve as the primary WSPG representative for assigned customers / sales reps.

Strengthen customer loyalty by building positive relationships & competently handling day-to-day requests.

Exemplify a customer-focused, responsive and professional image by adhering to service level standards.

Proactively contribute customer-focused ideas to improve processes, throughput, or service standards; look for opportunities to manage or produce orders more efficiently & profitably while still meeting customer needs.

Be the conduit for all information required from customers / sales to expedite orders.

Secure customer acknowledgement of pricing and miscellaneous charges.

Gather, validate and translate customer specifications into accurate order instructions that can be clearly interpreted by each production department.

Understand the basics of plant/equipment capabilities & limitations (tooling, presses, materials, applications) in order to determine the pertinent information & lead time required to produce a quality product; manage customer / sales expectations accordingly.

Organize & prioritize a high volume of tasks for many orders simultaneously.

Follow the procedures necessary to ensure all orders move through production and meet customers’ expectations.

Manage customer inventory programs; proactively work with customers to maintain agreed-upon inventory levels & ensure shipments are released as planned.

Maintain & organize required customer / order information.

Work with Team Leader to implement key initiatives and assist in special projects/tasks, such as: press proofs; new business set up; account / workload transition; back-up other CSR’s; process complaints; resolve open payment issues.

Participate in continuous education and training of WSPG departments, products and processes.

Look for opportunities to inform and educate customers on additional WSPG capabilities.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience/Requirements:

Two years in Customer Service and/or two years in the Label or Printing industry desired. Manufacturing experience preferred.

The Customer Service Representative will act as the liaison between sales, clients and the production facility.

Working Conditions:

Ability to work in a manufacturing and office environment. Some traveling may be required.

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. May be required to sit at a desk for long periods of time. Must be able to work overtime and flexible shifts.

Reporting Relationships:

This position report directly to the Customer Service Department leadperson.

This position is not eligible for relocation benefits.

Requirements
Education:
