Research, design, develop, or test electronic components and systems. Provides highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex capital equipment at customer sites and trade shows. Evaluates, analyzes, diagnoses and troubleshoots technical equipment problems via telephone or at customer site. Ensures equipment enhances customer production. Repairs and updates equipment at customer facility. Evaluates equipment to determine type and extent of problem. Prepares fields service reports on customer support activity and provides documentation to other supporting functions supporting functions on re-occurring problems. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Engineering, Physics, Math or related technical field followed by 5 years of post-baccalaureate progressive experience in job offered or in an engineering support related occupation. Experience in: 1) optical quality alignment; 2) Mechanical alignments; 3) Electronic troubleshooting; 4) Pneumatic systems; 5) Firmware and Window environments; 6) Ability to program in firmware or software; and 7) Robot and Robot controls. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States and abroad.

Work Location: Malta, New York and various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
