PDS is seeking a DB Arch Tech Level 3 for an open position in Dallas, TX.
In your role, you will:
Be responsible for Oracle databases running on Unix.
Review the database system status and identify problems in a timely manner.
Ensure that the systems supported are available to the users and that these systems provide timely and accurate data. This includes consultations, investigating anomalies, fixing minor data problems, seeking user input and being responsive to their changing needs.
Qualifications
As our ideal candidate, you will meet the following requirements:
Experience with SQL Server is a plus, with a recent deployment of an important application using SQL Server, instead of Oracle.
8+ years of experience.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Extensive experience utilizing new features in oracle versions 10g and 11g.
SQL Server experience to support patches, new tables and table changes.
This position may require you to submit to and pass a drug test and/or background check.
If this is a hands-on position, you may also be required to pass a safety and productivity examination.
