This position is responsible for managing all preventative maintenance, break-fix repair and building services functions to ensure facility & equipment needs are met for a multi-shift big box distribution center. The assignments are accomplished on time, within agreed upon budget, and with a high degree of customer satisfaction in order to insure a safe, clean and productive work environment.
The Maintenance Manager will:
? Provide ongoing management and leadership to maintenance associates to ensure high quality maintenance solutions, and superior customer service.
? Develop budgets, including Hired Services, Repairs and Maintenance, Supplies and Utility accounts.
? Identify, evaluate and make decisions on maintenance operations by evaluating key factors including throughput, parts inventory, safety/compliance, budget, and other key factors.
? Manage preventative maintenance programs for lift trucks, conveyors, HVAC systems and other products or systems.
? Interact, consult and make presentations to other departments on issues regarding maintenance planning, service, initiatives and key factors.
? Establish solid business relationships and maintains open, accurate and timely two-way communications with Maintenance Associates and the Leadership Team of the facility.
? Manage one or two Supervisors who are responsible for a team of 10-15 Associates.
? Seek innovative and continuous improvement in all areas of shop and maintenance system.
? Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures. Makes safety-conscious decisions.
? Recruit, interview and hire maintenance associates. Facilitates associates' individual development, education, and training through daily coaching and regular business partnerships and performance appraisals.
Qualified individuals will have at least 5 - 7 years of progressive maintenance leadership experience in a distribution environment. A college degree is preferred. Candidates must also have:
? Outstanding leadership qualities.
? Proven ability to deal well with people at all levels.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
? Strong analytical skills.
? Three plus years of leadership experience in an automated distribution center of at least 650,000 sq. ft.
? Strong technical knowledge of electrical, HVAC, energy management, hydraulic and material handling equipment, lift truck equipment and conveyor systems.
? Computer proficiency in Windows related programs to include Word, Power Point and Excel.
? Must be willing to work flexible hours.
