Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of DCA Windows Server Operations Analyst located in Bellaire, TX through
October 13, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. (Central Standard Time).

This position is a member of Chevron's Data Center Assets (DCA) Windows Server Operations team. The team is responsible for global Microsoft Windows Server operations and provisioning (hardware and operating system), remote application access (CITRIX), File and Print services, and Windows server application hosting infrastructure including virtualization and IIS.

Position Details:
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Provide level 3 troubleshooting and service restoration for technologies supported by the Windows Server Operations team.
  • Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues
  • Support and maintain server provisioning processes and on-going platform maintenance
  • Support and maintain the virtualization environment consisting of VMware ESX Server and Virtual Center
  • Support and maintain Windows 2003, Windows 2008, and Windows 2008R2 operating systems, installed in single-server and clustered configurations
  • Support and maintain Chevron's DFS infrastructure
  • Support and maintain Chevron's Application Hosting Infrastructure consisting of Citrix, IIS, SiteMinder (single sign-on authentication and policy-based
    authorization) and F5 (Load Balancing / High Availability Network Appliance)
  • Work effectively with other Chevron ITC infrastructure and application support groups for timely incident resolution, and ongoing process alignment
  • Develop, review and execute Disaster Recovery Plans
  • Ensure that WSO supported technologies meet Corporate Security Standards and comply with regulatory requirements such as Sarbanes Oxley
  • Ensure timely completion of audit remediation and IP compliance activities related to WSO supported technologies
  • Identify, develop, document, and implement process and procedure improvements and efficiencies, as well as improvements in the WSO service offerings
  • Participate with the on-call rotation, providing 24 x 7 on call and 12 x 5 onsite supports on all WSO technologies
  • Mentor and assist other team members to ensure cross-training and overall WSO organizational capability
  • Review, enhance and contribute to improve the WSO metrics reporting processes

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2 year Associates degree in a technology or business discipline and 5 to 8 years of overall IT work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of IT experience in an enterprise environment supporting, designing, and deploying infrastructure technologies based on Microsoft
    Windows Server 2003/2008/2008R2
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with Active Directory, Network Services (DHCP, DNS and WINS), Group Policy Object management, Single Sign-On, and
    related directory and authentication technologies
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience implementing and supporting HP server and blade hardware technologies
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with administration and support with VMware ESX or other serer virtualization platforms
  • Experience implementing and supporting Citrix XenApp application publishing in a Citrix farm environment
  • Experience implementing and supporting Windows-based clustering environments utilizing SAN/NAS storage
  • Solid oral and written communication skills

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a technology or business discipline and 10 to 15 years of overall IT work experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Internet Information Server (IIS) version 6 and higher
  • Microsoft Windows Scripting with PowerShell, .Net, or VB Script
  • Working knowledge of and experience with other Microsoft server-based technologies (SQL Server, SCOM, SCCM, Exchange, etc.)
  • Experience with enterprise-class Linux / Unix administration and support
  • Experience implementing and supporting Citrix XenServer, XenDesktop, NetScaler, or related technology platforms
  • Experience utilizing BMC Remedy ITSM or other enterprise-class ITSM platform
  • ITIL v3 Foundation certification
  • Microsoft MCITP certification(s)
