Placer County Water Agency encompasses the entire, 1,500-square-mile boundary of Placer County, ranging from the rim of the Sacramento Valley on the west to the Sierra Nevada and Lake Tahoe on the east. PCWA is headquartered in Auburn and provides water resource planning and management, retail and wholesale supply of irrigation water and drinking water and the production of hydroelectric energy. We are seeking talented candidates to join our team for the following:

DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF TECHNICAL SERVICES

$103,299 - $131,837 annually, DOQ, plus excellent benefits

PCWA is seeking an energetic individual to assist the Director of Technical Services in organizing, directing and coordinating departmental activities including engineering services and water quality operations. This position will also assist in providing regional water system master planning with outreach to numerous public and private water system, various land use agencies and regulatory agencies and providing technical expertise for Agency integrated water resource management planning efforts. Our ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field, plus five years of increasingly responsible professional engineering experience with three years involving the development of transmission, treatment and storage facilities, including two years of supervisory responsibility, or the equivalent. Registration as a Professional Engineer in California is required. Public sector experience and/or experience at a water or electric utility is highly desirable.
