The Director, Network Engagement is responsible for developing and implementing community-wide strategies relative to provider network performance and partnership initiatives: linking strategic goals to the execution and renewal of contracts, evaluating cost and quality performance of specific providers and health systems in designated communities, identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting health system efforts to achieve with relevant information and metrics to measure progress. They must assess and evaluate the implications of changing marketplace dynamics, including mergers and acquisitions, CON applications, and system expansions, including physician employment strategies. These individuals will cultivate and maintain productive relationships with key hospitals, physician medical groups, and organized providers in designated communities, and integrate the work of sales, finance and contracting to ensure a successful, holistic relationship with Priority Health. DIRECTION EXERCISED: Directly supervises and leads the members of the Network Engagement team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to effectively recruit high performing and motivated talent to key positions; train and develop work force of top performing people; reward/recognize performance; appraise performance; reward and counsel employees and make people changes as appropriate in order to develop a work force of top performing people.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
Education - Bachelor's Degree in health services, health administration or business administration
Experience - 7 years of experience in managed care, pharmaceutical or other health care industry plus minimum of 4 years directly interacting with clinical practices, including experience in analyzing and integrating financial and quality performance,5 years of experience in direct management of staff
Preferred Qualifications:
Education - Master's Degree in (MBA, MHA, MHP)
Experience - Strong contextual knowledge (managed care, provider reimbursement models, national health care trends, practice management trends)
