The Director of Development will assist the Director of Development, Rutgers-Camden, and in close collaboration with the Dean of Rutgers School of Law - Camden, will secure gifts of $25,000 or more to meet the short--and long-term fundraising goals for Rutgers School of Law - Camden. The Director of Development is expected to raise a total of $250,000 or more on an annual basis. The position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a comprehensive donor relations program as well as a comprehensive Reunion Campaign program. Specific areas of responsibility include: donor relations and acknowledgement, scholarship stewardship, donor event management, reunion campaign management, individual portfolio management and recent graduate council management. This position is intended to generate private support through fundraising for the Rutgers School of Law - Camden. This position reports directly to the Director of Development, Rutgers-Camden.

Job Requirements
Position requires a bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree preferred, and approximately 5 years non-profit and/or fundraising experience, with preference for candidates having fundraising experience in higher education. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of fundraising, development, philanthropy, public relations and event execution. Candidates possessing transferrable skills from similar fields may also be considered. Candidates must also have excellent communication, persuasion and diplomatic skills; demonstrated success in securing major gifts from individuals and/or relationship-based professions in which closing is essential; well-honed skills in relationship management; knowledge of and/or capability of learning and using computerized fundraising software packages; attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively; ability to work independently and with a team; strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
