DIRECTOR, ATAZANAVIR MEDICAL(Job Number: 1202754)
The position will be responsible for the medical and clinical activities for atazanavir in the U.S. and globally. This role requires interfacing with, and the provision of medical expertise and leadership across the matrix teams including the commercial organization. Responsibilities will include; speaker training, organization of advisory boards and investigator meetings, publication planning, building and maintaining relationships with Thought Leaders and professional organizations as well as leading company sponsored Investigator sponsored trials. The Director will further be expected to work closely with Clinical Development and Global Medical teams to assist in successful execution of phase IIIb and IV studies. Overall, the Director will help set clear and challenging targets that allow the team members to accomplish objectives consistent with departmental goals and BMS behaviors. Further, he/she will serve as the conduit to bring cohesive commitment to business and departmental goals, ensure strong functional expertise and productivity and fiscal responsibility through the team, as well as promoting morale, energy and enthusiasm.
MD required. The ideal candidate will have clinical experience in the field of HIV/Infectious diseases and board certification/eligibility in a relevant specialty. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three to five years of relevant experience in Medical Affairs or Clinical Development within the pharmaceutical industry. Expertise in Public Health, and/or Clinical Trial Designand Execution is also desirable. Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret preclinical and/or clinical studies, including strong publication record. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix environment. Excellent communication skills and strong networking abilities are essential requirements.
