DIRECTOR
Community Access, Inc. (CA) is a progressive not-for-profit organization that for the last 38 years has helped thousands of people diagnosed with psychiatric disabilities to make the transition from hospitals and shelters to independent living. Our primary mission is to identify needs and create solutions for homeless people with psychiatric disabilities. Our programs include over 950 units of supportive housing in three boroughs, the Howie T. Harp Peer Advocacy Center, East Village Access—a PROS-licensed training program, and the Art Collective.
Community Access, Inc. is seeking a qualified professional with
clinical and managerial experience to fill the position of
DIRECTOR
at East Village Access,
a licensed rehabilitation and recovery-oriented PROS (Personalized Recovery Oriented Services)
program for adults with serious mental illness.
Position is full-time, 40 hours per week; annual salary is mid 80K’s to low 90K’s, plus an excellent benefits package. Salary requirements and/or salary history must be included in cover letter to be considered for position.
Program Overview
The purpose of the program is to assist individuals recovering from the disabling effects of mental illness through the coordination of rehabilitation, treatment and support services that are participant focused and goal oriented.
Position Overview
The Director is responsible for the general oversight and administration of East Village Access. Some of the essential job functions include but are not limited to: supervise participant use of services including assignment to staff, assessment, intake and admission, referral and discharge to services that provide optimal support and treatment; facilitate the identification, creation and development of services and activities to meet the needs of participants; assist with creating and amending policies, procedures, and operational guidelines; conducts quality assurance, utilization review and program evaluation to guide strategic planning and development; promote the integration of clinical and rehabilitation service delivery by nurturing a team approach and facilitating the collaboration of medical and non-medical staff; market services in order to ensure adequate utilization and fiscal viability; ensure management of appropriate staff coverage per regulatory requirements and specific service delivery needs (e.g. clinical and intensive rehabilitative); collaborate with community based programs and clinical providers to ensure coordinated services to individuals and families and address needs identified in participant-plans.

Skills
Must be a Licensed Master in Social Work; LM/LCSW; have 5+ yrs exp in mental health, with some clinical exp, pref'd; 5+ yrs admin and/or supervisory exp, pref'd; possess an in depth understanding of PROS Regulations; must be fingerprinted and cleared by the Office of Mental Health (OMH); have a commitment to recovery oriented practice; resourcefulness and a good sense of humor a must.
