Microsoft IT is looking for a passionate, experienced, high energy Director of Solution Management to lead the MSIT Solution Delivering team supporting Legal & Corporate Affairs (LCA). This role is accountable for MSIT’s overall engagement with Legal & Corporate Affairs. The role delivers value by driving strategic alignment between LCA and MSIT, by enabling successful planning and delivery of IT solutions & services, and by making it easier for LCA to do business with MSIT through a clear & accountable engagement process.

Responsibilities include:
Building and maintaining trusted advisor relationships with LCA business partners at all levels, including executives.
Understanding LCA’s organization, strategy, priorities, and processes
Delivering solutions and services that help achieve LCA’s strategic objectives.
Establishing clear accountabilities to help accelerate decision making and ensure successful delivery of LCA initiatives.
Understanding LCA strategy and priorities to identify opportunities and anticipate unmet needs to influence MSIT solution areas.
Collaborating with senior leadership in LCA and MSIT to influence the strategies that will deliver business value enabled by technology.
Driving internal and external benchmarking and providing thought leadership to influence LCA and MSIT strategies.
Driving a simplified planning process between LCA and MSIT.
Partnering with business architecture teams to provide LCA stakeholders with business architecture skills to articulate IT demand.
Delivering a comprehensive view of LCA strategic demand and priorities into the MSIT planning processes, and serving as an advocate for LCA priorities.
Driving adoption of MSIT solutions in LCA to ensure standardization, scale, synergies, and savings.
Continuously evaluating MSIT effectiveness in LCA by gathering and analyzing appropriate information to ensure that progress toward goals and objectives is occurring as planned.
Being a Change Agent to drive process-focused transformation in MSIT and LCA.

Requirements/Qualifications and Previous Work and Related Experience:
Has passionate attitude for Information Technology as an enabler for a company’s growth.
Has sound understanding of IT technology concepts, software architectures, MS products, development tools, etc. This individual does not need to have deep technical knowledge.
This individual needs to be a strong leader who can focus on the vision and strategies.
Ability to deal with the ambiguity associated with working in a fast paced and changing environment.
Ability to recognize and resolve conflict.
Is experienced in building internal partnerships that help move the business forward now and in the future - deeply understands relationship-building as a discipline.

Strong team building and leadership capability with high level of communication skills.
Experienced in delivering IT systems implementations within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Bachelor's degree in computer science, business or related field of study or comparable industry experience.
Graduate professional degree a plus.
Six Sigma and PMP certification a plus.
Ten plus years’ experience required in a functional or business consulting role in product management, driving business strategy, architecture, and process re-engineering.
