F/T or P/T:
Develops, plans, implements and supervises nursing care at the New York University Student Health Center (SHC). Develops, plans, and implements quality improvement strategies to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and agencies, and SHC and accreditation agency by-laws.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing and
Master's degree in Nursing Administration
5 years' progressively responsible administrative experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience with nursing administration, staff supervision, and developing nursing and quality management policies and procedures, quality assurance and improvement programs, and risk management.
Broad background in a variety of fields (emergency/urgent, preventive medicine, epidemiological and accreditation issues)
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage administrative operations and service programs. Ability to interpret and articulate policies and procedures to internal and external constituents.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Advanced certifications in clinical areas of interest. CPR/ACLS certified.
