Actively engages in a circle of service with all drivers ensuring that each driver has the most accurate and effective information needed in order to be effective. Directly drives utilization, driver retention, and revenue.
Ensures that ETA's and PTA's remain accurate for each driver within their region for the entire scope of the load.
Proactively locates and coordinates empty trailers in order to get them back into a utilization status.
Identifies any existing and potential service deviations and minimizes any and all impact to the customer while maintaining capacity optimization.
Maintains SATCOM notes for each driver ensuring their accuracy and timeliness.
Communicates and addresses all Dispatch challenges to Load Planner. Addresses Load Planner/Planning Manager with potential solution.
Proactively informs management, Customer Service, and Fleet Management of all issues affecting a load.
Repower loads as needed.
Instruct driver on where to pickup and deliver loads; provide accurate and detailed information regarding directions, load information, pick-up/delivery times and other special load related information.
Accurately input load and driver related information into the system.
Other duties as assigned by management.
KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma
0-2 years operational experience
AS400 experience preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
Comprehensive knowledge of regulations impacting daily operations (DOT national and state)
Demonstrates a basic knowledge of US geography and the calculation of transit times across multiple US time zones
