Work with midstream operations to ensure compliance with DOT rules and regulations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Company subject matter expert for applicable DOT regulations and interpretation of regulations
• Provide regular updates to operations regarding upcoming regulatory trends and changes
• Provide answers to questions and concerns with DOT regulations, including conducting research, as required
• Implement and maintain tracking tools for DOT training, inspections, and record keeping requirements
• Prepare compliance manuals and operating procedures, as required
• Coordinate and/or provide training regarding DOT compliance
• Ensure contractor compliance with DOT regulations
• Maintain compliance action item trackers
• Perform internal audits of programs and records
• Prepare personnel for DOT audits and assist with audit responses
• Assist integrity department with development and implementation of pipeline integrity programs
• Attend public awareness meetings
• Interface with federal and state agencies, as required

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other relevant degree is preferred; 8 years work experience in natural gas and/or hazardous liquid pipeline operations may be substituted for degree certification
• Knowledge of and at least 2 years work experience with 49 CFR 192 and 49 CFR 195
• Proven communication skills, oral and written, with ability to communicate with a variety of individuals
• Strong organizational skills with ability to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict, and sometimes short, deadlines
• Self motivated and capable of working independently
• Proficiency with MS Office applications
