The DOU RN is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care in the acute care setting. They will communicate with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies, symptomatology and act as a patient advocate. They will need to perform general nursing duties as appropriate for level of care. Additionally they will participate in performance improvement, quality and service excellent activities.
Current RN License must be active and unrestricted for the State of California
Current BLS certification required
Current ACLS certification required
1 year of demonstrated experience in an acute care hospital setting
1 year DOU/ICU experience
EKG competent and Vent competency strongly preferred
Fire and safety card must be presented upon hire or obtained at our facility within the first 90 days
Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Proficient computer skills (MS Word, Excel,Outlook)
Bilingual Spanish/Russian/Korean is a plus
