Draft, build up, and modify pipeline system models using standard drafting commercial software packages and SwRI in-house codes; setup and measure performance and fluid machinery experiments, install piping and machinery, assist in the fabricating, machining, and assembly of experimental test fixtures; prepare and assist with test instrumentation (data acquisition, transducers, etc.), gather data from experiments to include pressures, temperatures, and flows; maintain safe and clean condition of test sites.
    Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 2-7 years of related experience. Associates degree preferred. Drafting skills and working level experience with AutoCad and SolidWorks software are required; light welding and machining skills are preferred; previous forklift training and welding certification beneficial; experience with computers and standard software would be beneficial; basic knowledge of test setup, pipe fittings and general instrumentation is required; electrical circuitry design, knowledge of test instrumentation, and machining skills are desirable; knowledge of machine part drafting including ANSI GD&T a requirement A valid/clear driver's license is required. Primary consideration for this position will be given to qualified candidates currently residing in San Antonio and surrounding areas.
