We have an immediate opening for a Senior Litigation Support Data Analyst in our San Francisco office. The candidate must be proficient in litigation support software and terminology, and well-versed in both ESI processing and loading of structured data into a litigation support platform. The candidate must have a technical background and superior communication skills. Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the successful processing of ESI (Electronic Stored Information) and the loading of structured data into Recommind’s litigation support applications.
Able to configure and set up databases. Also able to perform database update tasks such as field creation, data overlays and normalization, and global edits.
Capable of running custom scripts and queries for data manipulation using bat files, ruby, grep or other scripting languages.
Technical skills and knowledge to effectively investigate and resolve issues that arise from the processing of data.
Escalate obstacles encountered while performing data processing procedures to relevant groups.
Perform in-depth QC of all work performed, adhering to our checklist formats and service levels for quality.
Manage changing requirements and workload. Flexibility to work different shifts as required.
Conduct training and development on an as-needed basis and serve as a resource to junior staff members.
Maintain confidentiality of all information related to client documents and Recommind procedures and practices.
Develop knowledge of technical tools, methods and technologies to generate solutions.
Consistently update job tickets with status updates and state changes associated with active tasks.
The ideal candidate has a minimum 3 years of litigation support analyst/specialist experience in a vendor, law firm or corporate legal department with an emphasis on litigation support technology (electronic discovery, document processing and production).
In-depth working knowledge of various commercial software applications (such as LAW, Concordance, IPRO, Concordance, Relativity, etc.) for the processing of electronic data. This includes the proper handling of metadata, text extraction and indexing of data.
Understanding of structured data (and related images and text files) and being able to load that data into a litigation support data application.
Ability to solve a variety of issues that can occur in the processing environment to maintain levels that meet or exceed expectations while producing high quality work.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to establish priorities and manage multiple tasks.
Excellent ability to follow complex and detailed processes, workflows, and prescribed procedures with an attention to detail.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products (including Microsoft Access and Microsoft VBA) and advanced text editing skills (such as TextPad and NotePad++ )
Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field - such as computer science or information technology preferred. Candidates without a degree but with commensurate experience will also be considered.
