Apple's Procurement solutions team is looking for a data analyst / web applications developer. The ideal candidate will also have expertise with Database Design, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Visual Basic and a sound understanding of scalable web architecture. In this role you will be responsible for the feature definition and development of both internal and customer-facing technical solutions used by Apple and its suppliers. To be successful in this role you must feel comfortable working directly with your business clients in a fast paced, very dynamic environment. You will be joining a collaborative process and technical solutions team.
Responsibilities for this job include:
Gather requirements and build scalable technical solutions in multiple platforms - excel, web applications, or standalone database solutions.
Analyzing large data sets to produce actionable results
Reporting: conceiving, executing and delivering high-quality business analysis
Use Filemaker to manage critical business data
Create process documents, flow charts, work instructions, and provide training as directed.
Ability to build scalable systems that efficiently process and analyze data sets and to make actionable recommendations.
Ability to work with incomplete or imperfect data to extract usable business information.
Financial liability and cost analysis reporting
Presentations with senior leaders internal and external to the company.
High level capability with MS Excel, including use of pivot tables, macros and Visual Basic.

Relational Database experience with one of the following: Filemaker Pro, Access, SQLite, MySQL, Oracle or similar database solutions.
Understanding of key finance and business concepts
Working knowledge of the following programs a plus: PHP, MySQL, HTML 4/5, XML (including XSLT), CSS, Dreamweaver, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Applescript/Automator, Java/Processing, Javascript, & Perl
Education / Experience:
BA or BS degree, plus 1-3 years related work experience
Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business or demonstrated comparable work experience
