E&P Information Technology provides technical services to the global ConocoPhillips network. Data Analysts support Houston based world wide Exploration and Subsurface Technology organizations. Data Analyst also participate and facilitate global data management standards, workflows and professional technical data management networking.
Responsibilities may include:
The Data Analyst will be responsible for:
Managing all technical data domains and types for Exploration and Subsurface Technology/
Supporting, promoting and documenting all Data Management standards, workflows and procedures related to said technical data domains and types
Ensuring the quality, consistency, and accuracy of technical data in a timely, effective and reliable manner
Working within the larger global E&P IT organization by contributing to lessons learned and best practices
Representing Exploration and Subsurface Technology on issues related to technical data management
Legally authorized to work in the United States
3+ years experience working with E&P technical data and databases
Bachelor's degree in Geoscience, Engineering or (5 yrs) Industry Experience
Ability to work under rigid time constraints and adhere to tight deadlines
Must be able to prioritize requests and multi-task
Problem solving skills with the ability to solve technical data related problems for the supported teams
Ability to liaise with other Data Analysts, Geotechs, Exploration and Subsurface Technology professionals
Strong understanding of industry standard technical data and databases such as Openworks
Knowledge of data management standards, processes and technologies
General understanding of all E&P data domains (Seismic, Cores, Wells (logs) etc…) and data types and their relationships
Ability to maintain the integrity of Exploration and Subsurface Technology technical datasets
Strong understanding of relational databases
